    What are BASE BUTTER's shipping details?

    We offer a variety of shipping services that range from USPS to UPS.

    Shipping is FREE for orders over $70. 

    What should I expect once my order has been placed?

    Step 1) Place an order online. (Order confirmation will be emailed immediately.)

    Step 2) Orders are processed and fulfilled within 1-3 business days.
    Note: During a period of high demand, processing may take longer.

    Step 3) Once your order is processed and fulfilled you will receive an email notification letting you know that it is awaiting carrier pickup. To view your tracking number click “VIEW ORDER” from the email you received.
    Note: Carrier pick-up may take 1-3 business days.

    Step 4) If your order is picked up by USPS, your tracking status will update to reflect “Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending.” If your order is picked up by UPS, your tracking status will update to reflect “Package received for processing.” This means that the carrier has your package on their truck and it is on its way to the carrier’s origin facility where your package will be sorted.

    Step 5) Once your package has been sorted and processed at the origin facility you will receive a scheduled delivery date.

    During periods of high demand, the delivery may take longer than usual. Please be patient with us. If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact us.

    Who to contact….

    • If your package has already shipped and you want to change your address, contact USPS or UPS directly. Unfortunately, it's already too late for us to make a change.
    • It your package has been delivered but you haven’t received it, contact your local USPS or UPS office and give it 1-2 days to arrive at your doorstep. If you still have not received it, reach out to us for the next steps.
    • If your package is stuck or doesn’t seem to be making its way to you call USPS or UPS directly. 
    • If anything else is wrong with your order make a USPS or UPS case.  
    • If you want to hold a package at your local USPS office or UPS office you can set that up directly through their website or by giving them a call. 

    Carriers are making changes every day to adapt to the new shipping climate so you may see new or different tracking statuses than what we’ve outlined above — please let us know as we’re learning along the way too.

    BASE BUTTER currently ships to all 50 states and U.S. territories. You may experience longer delivery times when shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, and U.S. territories.

    Can I edit my shipping address?

    If your order is shipping to an incorrect address or if you need to make any additional changes to your order please contact support@basebutter.comUnfortunately, if you have already received a tracking number from us then no changes or updates can be made to your order.

    Will BASE BUTTER products melt/dry/freeze/expire/etc?

    Valid question. If the product is exposed to excessive heat or cold there is a chance the consistency may be altered. Luckily, that doesn't change the product's effectiveness. While the products don’t have a formal expiration date, it is generally recommended that they be used within 3 years of manufacture or 6 months after opening for best product quality...but we think you’ll love them so much that this won’t even be an issue. 

    Does BASE BUTTER test on animals?

    Do companies still do that? Well, you will be happy to know that we don’t, although we do receive a visit from a yorkie named Romeo from time to time.

    Will BASE BUTTER help with problem skin such as acne, clogged pores, eczema, or discoloration?

    BASE BUTTER is great for all skin types. We design our products with you and your skin obstacles like - acne, sensitivity, and discoloration in mind. The carefully selected combinations of ingredients in our products are associated with clearing skin, evening tone, and combating inflammation.

    Is BASE BUTTER for sensitive skin types?

    Our products work well with sensitive skin BUT (and this is an important but) everyone is different. We suggest trying the products on a small area of the inside of your wrist and watching for any skin reaction for 24 hours before applying to your face. Then, you can try another spot test just below your jawline. If you have a known allergy, please check the ingredients.

    Where was BASE BUTTER manufactured and formulated?

    It was manufactured in the United States by FDA skincare standards.

    Do BASE BUTTER products contain animal ingredients?

    Currently, no, and if we ever do we will let you know!

    BASE BUTTER is formulated without parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, animal by-products, phthalates, GMOs, silicone, or triclosan.

    Are the ingredients natural, non-GMO or organic in BASE BUTTER?

    BASE BUTTER products are natural when they make sense, and non-GMO and organic when necessary.

    Are BASE BUTTER products “alcohol free”?

    No, despite how extreme it sounds, it’s really not. Alcohol is added, like Glycerin, to thin out the gel to perfect spreadability, and allow a slow, time-release of our formulas fragrances and moisturizers.

    Are BASE BUTTER products gluten-free and soy-free?

    Yes. All our products are gluten-free and soy-free.

    Are BASE BUTTER products non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging)?

    Yes. Our products are non-comedogenic.

    Do BASE BUTTER products contain fragrance?

    No. Our products do not contain synthetic fragrance. They are naturally scented with 100% pure essential oils.
